Gospel Partnership
-
Gospel Partnership is a shared stewardship of the mission and ministry at Vintage Church. Rather than being a “church member” we want “gospel partners” who take seriously the mission to make Jesus irresistible in their everyday life.
-
If you are a Christian, you belong to the capital “C” Church. But the Scriptures paint the picture of belonging to a local, lower “c” church. This is where the “one anothers” of Scripture are carried out. The local church is the place where discipleship happens, gifts and callings are released, where you grow and develop and partner in the gospel. We want to see everyone rooted in Christ, cultivated in gospel community and fruitful in everyday life. This only happens in a healthy, local church context.
-
To be a Gospel Partner, one must attend Vintage Church for at least three months, affirm the church bylaws and beliefs, and commit to be (1) Partakers in Grace — In other words, you confess Jesus as Lord and want to grow as a follower of Christ; (2) Partners in Giving — As the gospel freely gives, so Gospel Partners freely give of their time, money and resources to advance the gospel; (3) Participants in Gifts — As part of the Body of Christ, we all have spiritual gifts and talents that are to be contributed for the mutual good of the church and mission. Voting, Teaching and Leadership positions are reserved for Gospel Partners.
