We meet every Sunday at 10:00am

Visiting a new church can be intimidating. What to expect? Are they crazy? Judgmental? What are the people like? Do they have anything for my kids? Do they have coffee? Donuts?

All of these are valid questions! We know what it’s like to visit a new church and want to practice good ol’ fashion hospitality and help you tackle some of those important questions.

What is a church service like at Vintage Church?

Our worship gathering is generally 90 minutes. We start with a welcome and a few announcements. After a scripture reading, exhortation and prayer, we transition to a time of worship and singing. Our worship style is a mix of modern songs that incorporates traditional hymns at times. We normally post our worship set on Facebook each week. After worship, Pastor Timothy will preach an expository sermon from the Scriptures for about 40 minutes. We always respond with communion each week. We practice open communion for all followers of Christ. This makes Jesus the hero of every sermon. We conclude with a song and benediction that exhorts the saints to go out and make Jesus irresistible in their everyday life.

Are the people crazy or judgmental? What do you believe?

I cannot speak for every person…but no, we aren’t crazy or judgmental :-) Everything we do at Vintage Church is because we’ve found Jesus to be irresistible. So, we want everyone to experience the irresistiblity of Christ from the parking lot to the pulpit. We’ll miss the mark. If we do, let us know! We want to reflect Jesus in all that we do. He was a friend of sinners and sufferers. He ate with people not like him. Every Sunday after service, we invite you to join us for a time of light refreshments (Fifth Sundays are potlucks!). We want to cultivate an atmosphere of hospitality and grace every Sunday. Let us know how we are doing!

Vintage Church is a non-denominational, gospel-centered, Spirit-led, missional community. Click HERE for our beliefs and HERE for our vision/values.

Is there anything strange asked or required of new people?

No. We will ask you to fill out a Connection Card if you are interested in more information or have a prayer request. If you hand it to a volunteer at the Welcome Kiosk, we’ll give you a free Vintage Church water bottle or coffee cup. We also host a Pizza with the Pastor event every six weeks that allows more time for new people to ask questions, hear our story and enjoy Rick’s Pizza. Checkout our EVENTS page for the next scheduled Pizza with the Pastor or other upcoming events at Vintage Church.

Is there anything for my kids?

Yes! On Sundays, Vintage Kids is available for Birth to 5th Grade. If you want to bring your kids to gathered worship, we encourage that too! Vintage Kids is a safe, fun and Jesus-centered ministry that utilizes the Gospel Project curriculum. Volunteers are screened. For students (6th-12th) we don’t have anything on Sundays, but we do encourage them to serve and learn to be part of the church. On Mondays at 6:33pm, we have SIX33 Student Ministry in the Youth Room.

What about money? Some churches just want my money, right? And do you have coffee?

We get it. Not everyone has had positive experiences visiting churches. We’re sorry. We have no expectation of new people to give. You are our guest! We don’t “pass the plate” but we do have a Giving Box in the back of the sanctuary if you want to make a contribution and support the mission of Vintage Church. We are thankful for our Gospel Partners who partake in the grace of God, partner in gospel giving and use their talents and gifts to further the mission of making Jesus irresistible and loving Lodi in everyday life. If you want to visit and need some reinforcements, email Tara, our Director of Community and Connection, and she’ll coordinate a smiling face to meet you on Sunday and show you around. Oh, and yes, we do have coffee!
