Vision & Mission

Since 1948, we have labored to fulfill Jesus’ command in Matthew 28:18-20 to “make disciples” rooted in Christ, cultivated in gospel community and fruitful in everyday life.

Our Vision & Mission

We envision a gospel-renewal in Lodi that produces fruitful and flourishing lives that make Jesus irresistible. To this end, we exist to glorify God by making fruitful, gospel-formed disciples. We want to see everyone rooted in Christ, cultivated in gospel community and fruitful in everyday life. (Col. 1:3-8, 24-29)

“I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit.”

— Jesus of Nazareth

As a gospel-centered church, we value:

  • Biblical Theology: We believe the Scriptures to be a unified story that points to Jesus. (Luke 24:27)

  • Shepherd Leadership: We believe that qualified church leadership is marked by humility and love. (1 Pet. 5:1-5; 1 Tim. 3:1-13; Luke 22:26)

  • God-centered Worship: We believe the songs we sing glorify God and shape our hearts—therefore, they must be theologically sound and God-centered. (Eph. 5:19-20; Col. 3:16-17)

  • Healthy Families: We believe that God designed the family as the foundation of society and primary context for discipleship and mission. Therefore, we encourage, equip and empower marriages and families to be fruitful in everyday life. (Eph. 5:21-6:4)

  • Expositional Preaching: We believe in the power and authority of the Scriptures. Therefore, we labor to rightly divide the word of truth and preach the main point of the text as the main point of the sermon. (2 Tim. 2:15, 3:16)

  • Gospel Relationships: We believe the gospel compels us to love and serve one another and our neighbor because God first loved us in Jesus Christ. (2 Cor. 5:14-15, 1 John 4:7-12)

  • Faithful Prayer: We believe that passionate, persistent, and faith-filled prayer is the power behind the mission of the church. (Col. 4:2-4, Eph. 1:15-23; 1 Tim. 2:1-6)

  • Missional Living: We believe that the church gathers on Sunday to scatter in everyday life on mission—making disciples happens in and through our vocations. (Col. 3:17, 23; 2 Cor. 5:17-6:1)
